Threads magazine are running a series of online profiles of individuals in the fashion industry who have failed to get the recognition they deserve. First in the series is 

Ann Cole Lowe was one of the first African couturiers working in high fashion (although some of her work went uncredited). Her work included the elaborate wedding dress worn by Jacqueline Bouvier when she married John F Kennedy. Much of her work included the intricate fabric flowers that became her signature style.
