One of Paul's aims for 2019 is to produce more videos to support our courses and to add to the website. Here is his first video which is an introduction to micro controllers. Look out for other videos on a variety of subjects over the next few months.

If you are interested in finding out more about courses Paul runs using various micro controllers, including potential bursary funded courses, email him at paulboyd@mac.com

  • The Design & Technology Association have some useful free to download resources for option evenings and displays on their website. They include posters, leaflets and videos.
  • Elon Musk talking about the properties of materials for his SpaceX rocket; he talks about why the rocket will potentially be made from stainless steel rather than carbon fibre.
  • The Duchess of Cambridge has expressed an interest in finding out more about the textiles industry. Although her royal role means she won’t be able to get involved in the political side of things like the impact the Ebacc and government policy on education it will be good to have a high profile ambassador specifically for textiles.
