  • Article with some interesting thoughts on rethinking the cardboard box
  • Article by Don Norman, one of the iconic names behind user friendly design who wrote ‘The Design of Everyday Things’, on how the world is designed against older people. There are some useful quotes and discussion points about the needs of older people and how designers can do a better job of meeting these needs.
  • Interesting article on two of the designers who design some of the moquette fabric for London’s public transport, including what influences the patterns and colours they use, as well as things they have to consider when designing for a public space. Useful for thinking about textiles designers that aren’t fashion based, as well as a design context focused on designing for the challenges of a public space.
