Are you an expert in a traditional craft?

Are you a craftsperson carrying out a traditional craft? Do you have experience working with children from 7-12 years old? The Heritage Crafts Association are looking for 6 craftspeople to help create resource packs for teachers based on a range of traditional crafts. The focus is on traditional crafts that are at risk of dying out or which are less well known. Those craftspeople that are chosen will receive a £300 payment for the work.†

The project will consist of each craftsperson writing about the history of their craft along with doing a taster project that is simple enough for a teacher to do with young children. The projects must be easy to deliver, accessible to Key Stage 2 students and tailored to the National Curriculum. They will eventually be available free to down load from the Association's website.†

The project will be overseen by the†Heritage Crafts Association.†

Anyone interested in being considered for this project should contact Pat Reynolds, the HCA Administrator (info@heritagecrafts.org.uk), by 24thMarch 2013.
